Robotics Engineer

WINTEC currently has an opening for a Robotics Engineer to support software development, integration, and test of unmanned vehicles.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Modifying and maintaining software modules used in operator controllers and vehicle embedded computers.
• Integrating and testing COTS products for use in existing unmanned systems.
• Conducting system level design verification and validation on unmanned systems.
• Supporting field testing and technology demonstrations.

Qualifications:

• MS in Computer Science (or BS with experience) preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in field.
• Knowledge and experience in the following areas preferred:
  • Design, operation, and control of autonomous and tele-operated unmanned vehicle systems.
  • Working with specifications, ordering, and tracking parts and equipment necessary to support vehicle assembly, integration, and field testing.
  • Test and evaluation of electrical/electronic systems for autonomous and tele-operated vehicles.
  • Systems/hardware design in industrial controls using embedded computers.
  • Software design with embedded systems using real time operating systems (e.g RT-Linux).

• Competent with personal computers (PCs) and associated software applications (e.g. word processors, spreadsheet and drawing tools, etc.)
• Proven skills in customer interface and problem solving
• Professional oral and written communication and leadership skills

Electronics Engineer

WINTEC currently has an opening for an Electronics Engineer to support design, integration, and test of electrical systems for avionics, weapon system interfaces, unmanned vehicles, and special test equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Technology research and reporting
• Design of analog and digital electrical/electronic circuits
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using OrCAD tools
• Integration and test of complex electronic systems
• Project management of hardware development/fabrication efforts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years experience in field
• Knowledge and experience in analog and digital circuit design
• Knowledge and experience with schematic design and PCB layout using CAD tools
• Knowledge of commercial and avionic communication interfaces including 802.11, 802.16, MIL-STD-1553, Fibre Channel, AFDX
• Knowledge of airborne weapon systems and/or Unmanned Air Systems a plus
• Competent with personal computers (PCs) and associated software applications (e.g. word processors, spreadsheet and drawing tools, etc.)
• Proven skills in customer interface and problem solving
• Professional oral and written communication and leadership skills

Software Engineer

We are seeking an entry level (0-3yrs) Software Engineer to work on avionics control systems development and test. The candidate must have knowledge of programming languages and software development methodology. Candidate needs to have a desire to learn in a dynamic small company environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement code from design description documents.
• Generate tests plans.
• Perform module level testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required.
• 0-2 years software engineering experience.
• C/C++, Java, Ada experience is a plus.
• Must be a United States Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.

Systems Engineer

WINTEC currently has an opening for a Systems Engineer with the desire to explore and develop advanced technologies in the aforementioned areas. Successful candidates will support design, integration, and test of electrical systems for avionics, weapon system interfaces, unmanned vehicles, and special test equipment.

Qualifications:

• Systems Engineering experience with core strengths in Electrical and/or Software disciplines.
• Knowledge and experience in the field of Weapon Systems, Robotics, and/or Unmanned Systems (UMS) research, development, engineering, and test.
• Experience with defining high level requirements and writing requirements documents. Capable of decomposing high level requirements and allocating them to subsystem disciplines such as hardware and software.
• Capable of networking with current and future government/industry customers and identifying potential new business opportunities.
• Capable of performing research based on operational requirements and identifying emerging technologies that meet user needs in the core domains of weapon systems, robotics, and UMS.
• Experience in generating basis of estimates for quotes and technical writing in support of generating proposals.
• Minimum of BSEE/BSCS with 3 or more years of experience
• Expertise in Software Development a plus
